CITYTIME Architecture Art Cityscape is a cultural project founded by Ester Donninelli for the enhancement and the reflection upon issues related to the architecture and cityscape in form of Texts and Itineraries to discover on real the architectural history of the past and the present.

I am an independent art historian specialized in History of Architecture and cultural mediator. I work between Lisbon and Italy, and previously I have lived in Germany, Turkey and Spain.

I graduated in Conservation of Cultural Heritage (historical-artistic area, old degree) in Ravenna (University of Bologna) under prof. Stefano Tumidei. Since then I have conducted deeper research about painting and architecture from 17th-century and 18th-century, some of which is published in the atlas of the works of Andrea Vici, edited by Maria Luisa Polichetti (Andrea Vici, Architetto e Ingegnere Idraulico. Altlante delle Opere, Silvana Editoriale).

I have worked as conservator in old masters and modern art museums, both public and private, where I dealt with catalogues and started the archiving of existing holdings. Furthermore, I curated exhibition programs and organized the educational department of various cultural institutions.

I currently collaborate also with the Trienal Arquitectura Lisboa (creation of the Documentation Centre) and the Fundação Centro Cultural de Belém (cultural mediator). In the past I have collaborated, among others, with the Gemäldegalerie and Neue Nationalgalerie (Berlin).
